SOUND

'Sound' was about discovering my sound. This was after Taste and I had started with a band, Noni was still singing with me but we were also going our separate ways.

The band didn't last very long, or at least not as long as I would have liked. Now when I look back, I kinda wish I was more vocal about my vision and what I hoped to achieve with putting the music on stage. I have come to realise that I overthought a lot of things that now don't even matter.

This project was the most confusing and loneliest as I was navigating through being a young musician from a simple life with big city dreams. I thought I had it all figured out however, I had much to learn; career-wise and in my personal life.

My favourite part of this whole thing, wasn't even the music to be honest. There was a lot of branding work that I did and it was just such a good release from the music but still about the music. I did the artwork for the EP and posters for the tour, and had opening night at The J&B Hive.

Since then I have learned to be more confident in how I feel and what I want from my music career. I have also learned how to interact on and off stage with various people, but I think the most valuable attribute I learned with this particular project was that I have a passion; 'Sound' kept me going.

Yep, the music keeps me going so we gotta keep the music going on.
